Florida Table runs into a lot of great people, people who open up their homes to us, whip up dinner, lend us designer dishes—you name it. But it’s not every day we get someone to float a boat for us.
And that is exactly what Frank Sciortino of Altima Yachts did in our latest issue (Summer, 2009, on newsstands now).
Mr. Sciortino provided us with the 61-foot Pilothouse yacht upon which we showcased our entertaining feature—cocktails on the high seas. We know we had gorgeous models and great food but the star of the shoot may have been the yacht. This $1.6 million ocean-gong beauty features two staterooms, a galley and salon, a gi-normous bridge and tons of storage.
