Citara moved from the San Francisco Bay area, where he was a big-deal food and wine critic for the San Francisco Examiner as well as a chef, winery publicist, and bon vivant. His articles have been published in Bon Appetit, San Francisco Chronicle, Miami Herald, and U.S. Airways Magazine, among others.

Well, you should know as of this past week, Ralph doesn't cook there any more, matter of fact, he doesn't work there. His partner, Chris, screwed him!!!! We're not going back there.

Plus, his partner has redone the menu to basically italian. While it is more focus that Ralph's previous menu it is also mediocre at best.
Basically the Custom House went from a restaurant that was all over the place with its menu but delivering very tasty and good food to now focused and delivering italian food that is maybe competes with Macaroni Grille.
chris is a great guy he has many businesses and many partners. you will be hard pressed to find any of them with a bad word to say about him.. he is a straight shooter. his word is as good as gold and he cuts no corners when it comes to his custormers what other owners would put there personal cell phone numbers on the business cards and answer all his phone calls..he put his money up to open the business along with his brother.. there are people who may not understand but u must put up money to open a business you can't do it if your broke..
